The RCM offers individual lessons, music theory and ensemble together in order to provide a well rounded music education for all levels. Teachers work together with students and parents to decide each student's individual musical path. Students are welcome to do exams in instruments should they wish. Students are not required to do either instrumental or music theory exams during their studies. However if a students wishes to do explore the different exam options we primary use We use ABRSM (Associate Board of the Royal School of Music). However we do use other instrumental exam syllabi including RIAM (Royal Irish Academy of Music), RGT (Registry of Guitar Teachers, London College of Music) and Trinity (Trinity College London) exam syllabi for instrumental Exams.

Voice (Classical, Pop, Folk)
Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Ukelele, Electric Bass
Music Theory
All of our music theory classes are taught using the ABRSM music theory syllabus.
Ensembles
At the RCM we believe that playing music with others is just as important in the development of musical skills as individual lessons. We encourage all students to participate in a range of ensembles to further develop their musical knowledge and skills in a group setting. Students from 7 yrs and older are welcome to take part in any ensemble in agreement with the RCM teachers.
We currently offer the following ensembles:
Junior Band (Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Students) Level from beginners to those playing between 2-4 years welcome to play in this ensemble.
Intermediate Band (Woodwind, Brass and Percussion Students) Students playing for a minimum of 2 or 3 years welcome to play in this ensemble.
Junior String Ensemble (Violin, Viola, Cello) Level from beginners to those playing between 2-4 years welcome to play in this ensemble.
Senior Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello) Students playing for a minimum of 2 or 3 years
Guitar Ensemble (Guitar and Electric Bass) Level from beginners to those playing between 2-4 years welcome to play in this ensemble.
Junior Percussion Ensemble (Percussion Students, Piano Students, All students welcome) Level from beginners to those playing between 2-4 years welcome to play in this ensemble.
Senior Percussion Ensemble (Percussion Students only) Students must have 2-3 years minimum playing experience required to participate in this group.
Irish Traditional Group (Traditional Flute, Banjo, Fiddle, Bodhrán, Piano, Whistle) Level from beginners to those playing between 2-4 years welcome to play in this ensemble.
Children's Choir All students welcome to join the choir from the age of 7!
